What is a Domain Name and why do I need one?

A domain name is an address used on the internet to represent your website and allow others to find you when typing the domain name as an URL (Universal Resource Locator) into the address bar of a web browser. A domain name is also something you will likely want to consider getting if you’re serious about your presence on the World Wide Web.

Branding your corporate identity is important.  At Cyberlink, one of our domain names is “cyberlink.ca”.  We use that domain name in all our email addresses as well as our advertising, letterhead, envelopes, business cards and signs.  You can easily do the same thing with your own domain name.

We’ll register your dot com, dot net or dot org domain name for you and save you the additional fees that individuals would normally have to pay for registering a domain. It won’t be long before you’ll be getting messages addressed to “yourname@yourdomain” in your email box.
