Outloook Express

IMPORTANT! Please no not change your account information or server information to reflect the those you see in the screen shots. They are simply a visual tool to help you find the check box in your email program to turn on SMTP authentication. Simply follow the step by step instructions to turn on SMTP authentication.

To configure Outlook Express for Authentication

1. Close all programs
2. Open Outlook Expressl.
3. Click the Tools menu, and select Accounts...
4. Click the Mail tab, highlight your email account and Click Properties

5. Click the Servers tab

6. Click the box that says My server requires authentication

7. Click on the Advanced tab

8. Change the Outgoing mail (SMTP) to 587
9. Click OK. You're done! Close the Internet Accounts window and click Send/Receive to start sending mail.
